D’oh! This is why we need remote parking assist. I’m hoping Rivian surprises us with that feature before the end of the year. Far less premium vehicles like Hyundai Tucson and vw Tiguan have a remote parking feature.
I am hoping Rivian delivers this!

It's the same for both--81.73 inches with the mirror retracted and 86.97 inches while extended.
Still narrower than the Model X with mirrors extended. So our "side-of-the-house driveway built in 1925" gymnastics will still be a little easier than our status quo.

I just chatted with CS and got a few tidbits that people who have configured the Explore package might be interested in.

  • Yellow calipers will be included on the explore package. (I was expecting this but wanted to confirm)
  • The explore package is planned to be on some of vehicles at upcoming test drive events (still no dates for those events)
  • The foldable bed cover on the explore package will be the shape of a small folding table when folded (I asked for a picture but they don't have one for public release yet)
They also said that there should be a few items announced tomorrow.

So 4 months is 17 weeks. I’m thinking 1-2 cities per week? So maybe 20-30 cities? Thoughts?

This is great, and sounds like an interesting gig.

I'm a bit concerned that they're just starting the search for this role. It will take months to hire, onboard, train, etc. This makes me believe that the tour won't start until at least August, if not later.

If you dig into the states that are currently hiring...It is ONE city in each state. For instance, Miami is the only city in Florida hiring those Event positions. I think they are traveling through just the states they are hired in...although I could be wrong...

According to the data that Rivian has provided previously, the HP is the highest on the Large pack and slightly less on the Max pack. But that may have changed as they have been great at updating data on the vehicles but not telling us. Who knows?

Ya. They don’t give any information on the HP in the Preorder info. I read somewhere that the 137 kW pack had the most power. ?‍♂

I also asked about range with different wheels and tires. As well as details on the infotainment system. More to come was the answer

I thought they were the same power, but the Max might be slightly slower to 60mph because of the extra weight of the larger battery?

HP and Torque should be the same, afaik.

It's possible that they have tweaked the tuning of the inverters differently for the various battery packs to optimize battery performance, thereby leading to reduced hp and/or torque.
