Does the opening the charge door with the capacitive button stop working when the truck goes to sleep? The truck finished charging at home and went to sleep over night. I pulled out the charger in the morning but the charge door wouldn’t close until I open the driver door and the screens woke up. Closed the door and the truck went back to sleep and I tried opening the charge door. Again it wouldn’t open until I woke up it up by opening the drivers door.

Just wanted to know if this was an issue since I have a mobile service coming to look at a bunch of stuff next week.

The list is growing.

I can't say what the official data shows, but I can tell you based on experience that most things (including the charge door) will not function if the vehicle is "asleep".

I encounter this almost every morning when I get to the garage and prepare to drive to work. If my phone is in my pocket, most of the time the vehicle will wake up, but sometimes it doesn't. Some observations:

- If vehicle is asleep but unlocked, I have to hit the trunk release button twice to open. First press and the lights blink and the vehicle "wakes up". Second press and it will open.
- If vehicle is asleep but unlocked, I can unplug the charger, but the charge door will NOT close. It will also NOT open.
- If vehicle has been "woken up" from me pressing the trunk door (or opening any doors, or perhaps my phone being near it woke it up), then everything works.
- If the vehicle is asleep and I walk up to it with my phone in my pocket, it will eventually wake up. Sometimes relatively quickly, sometimes not, at which point I'm usually hitting a button or opening a door.

The charge port door will not, indeed function when the vehicle is asleep. But for me this is very much a non issue.

When opening the charge port I do it either from the inside, or just after getting out when the vehicle is still awake.

I almost never actually close the charge port door, since I unplug and immediately drive away. The door closes automatically when you put the vehicle into gear, so I don't ever think about it

Thanks! Didn't know the door closes on its own when in drive.
It’s not a huge issue just wanted to have the mobile tech take a look if it was since they’re already coming out.

Bear in mind, there's now a charge port door shortcut in the app.
It takes a minutes sometimes, but if you hit that, it'll wake the truck up and then open it for you.
If not, and you're otherwise home (doors are unlocked), I just do a quick open/close of the driver door to get it to wake up before hitting the button.
