"I fear I'm accidentally going to hit the tailgate button and it's going to slam into the metal framing on my garage door and dent and/or scratch it." Mine as well. I'm afraid I'm going to accidentally tap the wrong button and drop the tailgate on the tongue jack. :-/

Yes, I'd rather have a SW solution than this:

More complete maps. I’m in Redmond, Oregon at the moment. Couldn’t find Cline Butte OHV or North Barr or Cascade Scenic Byway or J Dub (but could find tbe OnPoint ATM next door.
Ability to access gear guard cameras from phone (real-time and stored).
Send addresses from phone. But using rivian app and share from other mapping software.
Maps of OHV routes.
Ability to upload maps.
Kneel mode
Auto camera at <10mph
Not auto switching out of off road mode.

put clock in middle of screen and not all of the way to the top right corner
I was just thinking this on my way home when I couldn't read the tiny clock on the far side of the display

Another thing I'd like is the ability to turn off the audio completely.

And give me Pandora

I do like the the volume goes down when the door opens

Lots of good ideas from folks!

Plug and charge, RAN stations, reliably hold 500A through 50% SOC.

Recognizing that EA has 350kw chargers.

Improved navigation logic including adding waypoints, out-and-back, tolerable min/max soc at arrival and charging stops, fix some logic bugs with finding chargers and range along routes.

Adding a data screen with customizable fields - the "nerd" screen Zach from Jerry Rig Everything suggested basically.

dog mode

Chill with the suspension adjusting so frequently. Particularly at every stop light.

Youtube, netflix, or prime video.

Fixing the "proximity off at home" so it actually turns it off. The truck still picks me up when approach, it just doesn't lock/unlock.

The ability to show all four of the wheel camera at the same time. For example, having the front wheels above the main (forward/rear) camera and the rear wheels below it.

Add some more clear feedback about anticipated range remaining upon arrival when navigating to help identify if you're trending on using more energy than anticipated. Tesla's graph would be handy for this.

Some improvements to ACC and driver+ such as automatically re-engaging after lane changes. Fixing some driver+ bugs, adding regular cruise control.

Fixing the speedometer issue. It's a real problem when the speed limit is 80 mph and driver+ is limited to 85.

A boatload a feature additions to the app, especially map integration.

-The clock should be relocated to the display in front of the driver.
-An odometer or trip meter should also be there for accurate turn navigation.
-I would like to be able to select different % of charge, like 80% or 90%.
-A kneel mode would be appreciated by my wife.
-A "Kill Button" that really shuts things down when in storage to limit Vampire Drain.
-A way to hook up rear aux lights through the trailer connector without triggering Tow Mode.

-A way to hook up rear aux lights through the trailer connector without triggering Tow Mode. Also a nice feature that I didn't think of but want.
Is everyone's speedo off? Mine is off too. At 40 on the radar speed sign says 44 on my display. Honda had to deal with a class action lawsuit because of their speedometer inaccuracy. Of all the problems and want items listed, this has to be one of my top 3 things that have to be fixed sooner rather than later.

My speedometer is roughly 5% optimistic. I have filed a service ticket, but no fix has been offered.

During my delivery last week, my delivery specialist pointed out what she said was a new slider on one of the vehicle menus that allows the truck to go into a deeper sleep after a period of inactivity. She said it was new as of the latest software release…

Legally, speedometers can read high but not low. Probably part of it.

I definitely think we need this for the R1T folks as well but I _really_ want a SW fix for this on the R1S. I've already mistakenly opened my liftgate when both my Xterra _and_ my Forester have been in the garage and banged the door. Luckily in both cases it hit plastic trim and wasn't a big deal but the Rivian has the technology to avoid this altogether.

And, FWIW, my wife's Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric (c'mon Volvo, the name doesn't need to be that long) will start to open and as soon as the sensors realize the door is there it will re-close itself so it's definitely possible.

- Make better use of the wide center screen by adding more options to the stereo pod on the Nav page ie add other options than just displaying what is streaming. As currently implemented, it takes three touches to the center display screen to change audio and get back to display you were on when starting at a min. To that end why does the pod have to be stereo?

- Have you actually tried to tune FM frequencies while driving - talk about taking your eyes off the road, there is no way to scroll up/down to a specific freq. Can I have Alexa tune to specific freq...say like 98.7Mhz?

- Add a user selectable default screen, so that say after 30 secs or so, every screen goes back to the default, be it Nav, Stereo, etc. You can even go so far as making the default an 'on' or 'off' if you like just going to diff screens and staying there - since it SW you can get crazy with this for example: tie selections to the drive mode ie in off road make cameras defaulted on...in conserve make Nav defaulted on etc.

- Add other options to the drivers display left pod - all we get is tire pressure, Nav, and 15 min energy usage.

- Add easy entry / exit functionality to seat and mirror positioning so that upon going to park, seat goes all the way back and steering wheel goes all the way up - or to user defined position.

- Why can't I change suspension settings while on cruise control?

- Not enough details on historical energy usage.

- Incremental way to change scale of Nav page map instead of just pinch fingers (think + or -).

- Suspension height indicator on center display is hard to discern - needs to be larger/more recognizable for level

- For the phone app add functionality to actually control some of the cars features beyond just "cooling". IE if windows are down, a "rain" button to close windows; add ability to manage and or control charging settings (start, stop) or session - if I'm away from car, do I get alerts in app when my session at an L3 is about to complete so I can avoid idle fees (haven't done L3 charging yet)?
- Why can't I turn Gear Guard on/off from app?

Do you mean ability to change media options? If so, here's a tip, you can press on the icon in the lower left of the "pod" and switch between FM, Spotify, TuneIn and BT without having to go through the main screen.

Haven't tried, but I'd be surprised if Alexa can't tune the radio if it can quickly get you to your Weird Al Yankovich Pandora station.

I think that's the first time I've ever heard someone say they want +/- vs pinch to zoom....pinch was a revolutionary invention specifically so that we didn't have to use those anymore, with much quicker and more precise control. BTW, that's one of the terrible things about AA/CP maps, they aren't pinch to zoom (at least one of them isn't, can't remember which). Not to mention that they would almost surely be on the far right of the screen where they always are when maps have them.

We've already seen screenshots of a "Controls" button on the app main screen, so it's clearly in the near term roadmap.

My guess the reason GG isn't a priority app function right now is that for most people it's a one time set it and forget it setting. I made my choice once and will likely never change it again. Not saying it won't make it in there, just can see why when the software list is a mile long, that's not at the top.
