Perhaps not as rugged/manly/hardcore as a lot of these posts, but likely the most relatable: mid-week grocery run.

I was testing the cargo net for its ability to keep things from toppling over. It worked!

Moved to 80in monitors (sadly they weren’t mine). Moved for work. Could have put another one.

A neighbor's husband died recently. I'm helping her clear some of his stuff out of the yard. Here's $11 worth of scrap metal on its way to the scrap yard:

Hauling two electric dirt bikes with my electric pickup truck

First time I've seen these bikes. How are you liking them? They look like what I wanted out of my Surron which was a blast but didn't hold up on the trails very well at all. I just got my Varg EX and loaded it up in the Riv for the first time last weekend. If you're in the Northeast lets go ride sometime!

Picked up a 2025 Honda CRF300L last week. Borrowed a friend's hitch carrier. Bike weighs ~310lbs and tongue weight limit says something in the 700-800lbs range which I thought was unusually high.

I was VERY worried about it simply snapping, but I drove very slowly. On some dips, I got pretty concerned. People say they've been carrying motorcycles for years on class III hitches and I shouldn't worry.

Outside of bringing the bike home, should I use hitches for motorcycles? I don't have room for a trailer.

Anyone else carry motorcycles using a hitch carrier here? Mine's a light dual sport, but considered a heavy dirt bike. Dirt bikes are in the 200-250lb range while dual sports can be in the 250-400lb range. Hitting a dip on the road can put a lot of stress on that hitch.

Howdy, we're down in Tejas.

I just bought those bikes. Sons and I had a blast on them last weekend riding hilly trails through the woods at our ranch. Rocket mode is way too fast (over 50 mph) for our .5 mile gravel driveway... at least for us beginner riders. Being electric, but chain driven, they are still really freaking quiet, but not as quiet as a Rivian! Still, quiet enough that my 13 year old snuck up on some feral hogs and I rode almost face to face with a coyote before he saw me and darted right back into the brush. No complaints so far, but the bikes are still really new to us.

Just asked chatgpt to compare my RFN Ares Rally Pros to Surron X and Varg EX :movember:

Final Verdict
  • RFN Ares Rally Pro: Ideal for riders seeking a balance between performance and affordability, offering robust power and suspension for off-road adventures.
  • Surron X: Best suited for casual riders or those new to electric dirt biking, providing a lightweight and agile experience at a more accessible price point.
  • Stark Varg EX: Designed for serious enthusiasts and competitive riders, delivering top-tier performance, extensive customization, and advanced technology for an unparalleled riding experience.

Your choice should align with your riding style, experience level, and budget. If you need further assistance or have specific questions about these models, feel free to ask!
