This is what I’ve been wanting to do. Can you provide details?
Here is the Thread from when I did it.

it’s not a super OEM look but I use the heck out of it. And it comes off in 5 min if I need more aero or taller bed space.

I hauled 2 16’ 2x10s and just used ratchet straps up to the rear rail tie downs. I also went back inside and bought a 27 gallon tote to set on the end in the bed and strapped that down to the lower anchor points in the bed to hold that end down. I had another strap wrapped around that end under the tote to prevent lateral movement as well as one wrapped around on the tailgate. Everything worked just fine for my trip home. I also hauled it at 9:30pm so there weren’t many cars out and about.

This is a 10ft load. for 12' or longer you would have lay the load parallel with the bed and strap it to the side lugs. The bucket/strap method will still work. I keep that bucket in the gear tunnel with straps and other small crap. Cheap, multipurpose, very sturdy and always on board. Just make sure you have good quality bucket so the force of the strap doesn't pull the handle through the bucket rim. This one's super strong from Menards and is a highly visible red.

I believe I finally have solutions for everything long I want to haul. As someone else suggested, I bought the Loadd solution from the Peoria company. It works well for large, heavy loads. It is well designed and will secure evereything within reason. However, for the one off pieces and the really long stuff, the Mariner solution from Range Industries is great. Very well built and strudy. I can confirm it is perfectly level with Rivian's rack. I have yet to try a 20' piece of lumber but I have confidence it would work. Pictures attached.

So happy with what I can do with this thing. Supposedly that's about 2,100lbs.

Love it! I couldn't stack the tires like you, so had to make multiple trips.

In case it helps someone, here’s what my 2022 R1T looks like with 1/4 cord of firewood loaded in it.

I built “wall” pieces at the edges because I thought it would be a little more full and had to travel on a highway for a bit. Was maybe unnecessary.

Apartment stuff for the son going to med school. The truck was so full I couldn’t use the mirrors. Rear and side cameras were super-helpful

R1T Launch Edition
Up here in the Tahoe basin it's pretty common to cut down your own Christmas tree (in the preferred national forest spots with a permit, of course). This year we got to go big thanks to the new R1T... A friend commented that the loading arrangement was unconventional and made it look like a mobile missile launcher straight out of Ukraine. I say all the better to "ATACMs" with Christmas cheer! Happy holidays, all... Let's hope that 2025 ends up being more peaceful than the year before.
