I'm glad I can provide a cautionary tale for use with your kids. I would be happy to share it with them personally when I come up there to help with the first of many oil changes. Regarding the motor, mine had the 327 with 365 hp and solid lifters. No side pipes. 18 years of pure joy, followed by another 15 of regrets for letting it go.

I'm glad I had the small block as those early big blocks were very nose-heavy and not as nimble. But there's no mistaking the rumble and roar of either the 396 or the later 427! The more I look at this pic and the Rivian website, the more this "Glen Green" from Chevy, with a little extra metal flake added, looks like Forest Green.

FYI, Here's a shot of the 2016 Cadillac ELR during my trip home from picking it up in Ohio. Not anywhere close to the same type of vehicle, but a nice 50-year jump between fun things from G.M.

Yes sir, thought the new steering yoke would be a natural fit for you. Had an air force family member say they would prefer the wheel though for his Tesla. Hand over hand doesn’t really work with the yoke without greatly adjusting the steering ratio, which I’m sure Tesla has in mind!

Tesla has infected its fleet with The stupid yoke. Hopefully they come to their right minds real soon
