Ehh, maybe. But remember, everyone who is long benefits from a lower stock price in the short term. They have little reason to support the share price right now when they are probably 18-24 months away from needing to raise capital. The share price at the end of 2023 will have little or nothing to do with where it is today, it will be based on actual results. There's no rule that limits the amount the price can increase over a given period./tinfoil hat on
Maybe the arbitration from the discrimination lawsuit cites a cash payout of shares at the current market price. Thus Rivian is fine with the freefall as they will have a smaller payout.

Yeah I'm in it for the long haul, just getting tired of the same people who ask when I'm getting my truck ask about why the stock is tanking. Or why the CEO/COO resigned.Ehh, maybe. So, tinfoil speaking, I could see them intentionally not correcting stories, or providing positive PR to push the price up, as opposed to pre-IPO when that directly benefitted them.
Exactly, as if 1) I'm personally responsible for the stock price and 2) it affects my desire to own a Rivian.Yeah I'm in it for the long haul, just getting tired of the same people who ask when I'm getting my truck ask about why the stock is tanking. Or why the CEO/COO resigned.
At this point it seems intentional on Rivians side.
