First time charging this weekend at below 0F. One charger offline on Saturday but on Sunday was working again. Sunday was the first time I've ever experienced a line, too.
If you're hungry the "Hungry Dumpling" shop with is just a few hundred feet from the charger has great Chinese noodles and dumplings. Beef Noodle soup and Pork Soup Dumplings are our go-tos!
You had a line? Can you say what time? I’ve never had a line; curious what time one may arise (I am guessing prime return-from-skiing time).
Very cold battery (even with 45 minutes of preconditioning) and so I was stuck at 100kw for a bit and then I bounced around speed wise. i feel like cold is such a challenge for these cars.
Friday night no line but all chargers were full. Sunday afternoon around 2pm was all chargers full and a line up which was as high as three.
The 100kw limit was across all chargers, but I chalked that up to all the chargers being in use and the shared 300kw. I did notice that, once it freed up, some Rivians were going to 175 and then down to 100 repeatedly.
Never had a line charging here on my way to/from boston from burlington vt.
Word of caution, be careful if you are traveling north from boston to charge here. Believe the navigator. Due to the cold and sharp elevation change in the last 30 to 10 miles approaching the charger I was down to 1 mile per kw and ran out of battery and ended up having AAA get me a tow the last 10 miles to this charger. I didnt believe the navigation that I would burn through 50 miles in the last 25 miles to get there, but that is what i did and then some. It is all down hill the last 8 miles or so, so i was probably only a few miles off from being able to make it, but was not worth it and there is nothing even in the level 2 range for about 50 miles before lebanon.
