WARNING!! EVBASE ISSUE

I modified the heading to accurately reflect my intentions. It was wrong for me to say "Don't buy from EV Base." People can decide what they want to do with their money. I apologize if this offended anyone. I am only sharing my own experience and will never buy another EV Base product.

I didn't want to post this. In fact, I tried working with @EVBASE privately for 1.5 months. Long story short, they didn't send me the armor rockers with my running boards. The $30 discount was a credit for being late on shipping, when I asked to cancel my order. When I finally did receive the items, it was missing the armor rockers. Then they tried to gaslight me for ordering the "wrong part." Being manipulated is not a good feeling. Also, I did some research on this forum, and their unethical business behavior is not an isolated incident.

Is it possible you ordered the wrong item and there was a typo on your receipt? According to the site, if you order the protect panels, the retail price is $788. What you ordered was $549, which is the retail price without the protect panels.

I ordered it from my phone, so some websites aren't configured for it. Regardless, why does the invoice reflect the armor rockers being included? More importantly, it's bad faith when you say you will refund and change your mind.

Because the invoice had a typo on it? Things like that happen.

It seems if you ordered the right one, the price would have been much higher than what you paid. And I can see it being an easy mistake to select the wrong item when placing the order on a phone. Is that possible?

Yes, it's possible. However, when I placed the order, the only options I got was with or without letters. Hopefully, they fixed the issue.

How come you're not addressing the issue of them changing their minds on the partial refund? They even admitted they could have made a mistake.

I had 4 options to pick from plus then 2 options for the letters or not.

The 4 options look like photos not selectable options but you can click them to order the correct product. This is OP's mistake I fear. He might want to at least link to this discussion in the 4 other threads he blasted EV Base

Did you use the link I included and did you get the same price?

is the same as yours

but the price is different.

This is what I saw on my phone. How could I have known there were more options to pick, if the invoice reflects the armor rockers being include? If there were different options, then it should have reflected that prior to checkout.

How is the customer supposed to know to do all that? If the words and the description match what you’re trying to buy, add to cart & check out. If their ordering site is jacked then they need to fix it. At a minimum they should offer to send the panels to the OP at no extra charge for finding the issue. The vendor can then go back to their e-commerce vendor for satisfaction. Or, offer to take the product back & pay for the return shipping.

Dude, thank you. I went back and forth with this company for 1.5 months before I made this public.

I am not looking for a free meal. You don't spend $107K on a car to quibble over a few hundred. It's the gas lighting and blatantly reneging on a prior agreement that I take issue with.
