I’d rather be buried in an RXXX, but that’s a pretty cool looking little city car

It has a nice style. I think it will be popular.

I doubt we will ever see this one in the US unfortunately.

Dang.

This would be cool in the US. I'd keep the R1 for family trips, but we only need one big long-range EV in the household.

It's too bad the US has turned to protectionism (across both the IRA with domestic sourcing requirements and the current administration) keeping cars like this away from US consumers. Something like this will never get built in the US.

Leasing Tesla Model 3 until Rivian R3X comes out.
They always say small cars don’t sell in the US, but I see Honda Fits, Minis, and Fiats driving all around Columbus. It’s a niche market for sure, but why not dominate it with the perfect city EV?

I think Renault's EVs would sell big time in the US. Two hundred and fifty miles per charge is more than enough for the city.

TL;DR: Not coming to US. Only has 151 miles of range.
My MINI had all of 110 miles of stated range. One of the most entertaining cars I've owned...fantastic "city car". I was actually behind one on the drive into work this morning too.

I like it.

That's still 126 more miles of range than my son-in-law's Leaf has. He bought a cheap used one just to drive around town.

The R3 looks to fill this niche, just a tad larger than the European city only vehicles but still plenty small...for American standards.
I’m not sure how affordable the R3 will be though, $35K for 270 miles per charge?

I almost got a MINI Cooper SE, but the range just doesn’t work if you have to rely on public charging because you live in an apartment or condo, have to drive 50+ miles a day, and have really cold winters for months on end. I ended up leasing a Long-Range RWD Model 3 until the R3 comes out (2028?)
