R1T range is sooo aero sensitive. My little 4x8 aluminum utility trailer with 36 inch cedar sides, weighs maybe around 300# but absolutely destroys range. Just off the cuff I think I get around 1.5-1.6 mi/kwh with that dinky trailer towing empty, while at the same time 1.0 mi/kwh with my big 24' ATC trailer fully loaded to 10,000 lbs.
I wonder if the big blunt back end of the R1S would make towing a trailer more efficient than the R1T, allowing the trailer to better tuck into the SUV's slipstream? The R1T's flow looks a lot like a sleek hatchback off the rear, and while impressive, I wonder how much it hurts towing.
