I did a test last week, SW version 2023.2. Left it parked at 56% on last Thursday night (batteries cold, it was already parked all day) in a parking garage at work (no WiFi and certainly no Cellular, since I am in Germany). Gear guard off. Friday night, 53%. Sunday 49%, Tuesday morning 46%. So lost about 2% per day. Temps in the mid-30s up to mid 40s.

Summary: GG off, NO connectivity of ANY kind (fob, cellular, wifi), almost the latest software (2023.2) and still 2% per day. Something is obviously running at around 100W. Maybe I will do a test of shipping mode...
Doing a shipping mode test now. So far 50W continuous, 2.4kW in about 46 hours. 82% to 78% (will leave it over the weekend as well). Latest software (2023.6.2). No connectivity, shipping mode.. the two times I checked it, it had to boot up the screens. So it seems like a legit attempt to save electrons, but still not enough. I can leave my Tesla M3LR for three weeks and only lose 1%. Just did it as a matter of fact.. 70% to 69% over three weeks. Not in shipping mode either. Sentry and climate off.

So at my home rate of 0.43EUR/kW, it costs 0.50/day in shipping mode, about double that not in shipping mode. It's tolerable but just feels unnecessary.

All it has to do is monitor bluetooth, wifi, and RFID for an active signal, maybe every 10 seconds. I'm very pleased with Tesla and I will hate to sell it, but just can't afford to keep both vehicles (insurance mostly!!).

Agreed. I wasn't expecting any better and those are not optimal conditions. Now my wife driving 80-85 with snow mode on, suspension lifted, for 3 hours on I75 did not help our range.;) It was a nice learning experience for her.
Like your wife, I too miss speeding :( Thankfully Grayling helps a bit more now

FWIW, I have been watching drain when leaving the car in SLC cold weather (10-20 degrees at night) for several days over the past few weeks when flying out of SLC. This last trip, from Tuesday morning to Thursday late evening, went from 255 miles to 225 miles remaining (both on snow mode). About 55 hours gone and lost about 12%, or about .5 mile range lost per hour.

Parked the car at airport in SoCal at 67% and returned at 62%. Gear guard off. Seems like 1% daily.

Besides turning off all the gear guard, phone as key, moving all the keys far away and whatever other settings it might have, how about unplugging the camp speaker, flashlight and anything plugged into 12v and USB ports to test all this? Really important to minimize the number of variables.

Checked again this morning. Shipping mode, 120 hours (5 earth days), 5.6 kW in the trip meter, 8% lost (82 -> 74%). Checked it only 3 times during the test. Seems like a steady 40-50 watts if you use the trip computer, but it doesn't equate well to percentage lost.

Now someone with a double fuse tap and an ammeter needs to track down those 4 amps.

1.4-1.5kWh over 24 hours in 55*F garage. Couple unlocks, no gear guard, couple mile drive back from freezing outside space before parking, climate off.

Ended the shipping mode test.. can't leave it sitting, I need to drive it!! So 144 hours (6 earth days), average 50W used based on the trip meter, went from 82% to 75%. It was actually 74% yesterday so maybe temperature changed it, it is about 20 degrees warmer today... who knows.

I parked my truck at the airport last week in Pittsburgh. Temps while away were low 20s to mid 40s each day. Gear guard off but proximity left on (my normal). Parked at noon Thursday with 72% and 234 miles. Returned at midnight Tuesday (exactly 5.5 days). I only loaded the app once or twice a day to check while away. Lost a little over 2% a day with each checkin (consistent). It registered 60% and 196 miles when I got in at the airport. Outside temp was 21 degrees and I averaged 1 mile/kWh for the first 15 minutes while heating the battery and cabin. I drove home with the climate set to 74 and front seats and steering heat turned on (turned on from app 5 minutes before getting to the truck). Drove 30 miles mostly interstate at 70mph and arrived home with 48% and 155 miles. Given the outside temperature I was pleased with the performance and confident that warmer outside temps will yield better results. I’m hoping for improvements with software updates over time, but very satisfied with these results today.
