Doing a shipping mode test now. So far 50W continuous, 2.4kW in about 46 hours. 82% to 78% (will leave it over the weekend as well). Latest software (2023.6.2). No connectivity, shipping mode.. the two times I checked it, it had to boot up the screens. So it seems like a legit attempt to save electrons, but still not enough. I can leave my Tesla M3LR for three weeks and only lose 1%. Just did it as a matter of fact.. 70% to 69% over three weeks. Not in shipping mode either. Sentry and climate off.I did a test last week, SW version 2023.2. Left it parked at 56% on last Thursday night (batteries cold, it was already parked all day) in a parking garage at work (no WiFi and certainly no Cellular, since I am in Germany). Gear guard off. Friday night, 53%. Sunday 49%, Tuesday morning 46%. So lost about 2% per day. Temps in the mid-30s up to mid 40s.
Summary: GG off, NO connectivity of ANY kind (fob, cellular, wifi), almost the latest software (2023.2) and still 2% per day. Something is obviously running at around 100W. Maybe I will do a test of shipping mode...
So at my home rate of 0.43EUR/kW, it costs 0.50/day in shipping mode, about double that not in shipping mode. It's tolerable but just feels unnecessary.
