Manufacturers wants to sell cars, not have them sit. My guess is Rivian anticipated new sales would be hard and started calling cars "2025" model year early to avoid being stuck with 2024 cars in 2025.

I think most manufacturers start selling next years model as early as summer of the current year so nothing unusual about that.

Nah, this is entirely industry-standard. And over the last few decades, the next model year vehicles come out earlier and earlier in the prior year.

And in the case of Rivian, they already has 2024 MY Gen1 in the market for months (including back in 2023), so when Gen2 came out ~H2 2024, it just made perfect sense to release those as 2025.

Oh totally, I agree with that. I'm sure there's high interest here. I got my gen1 quad by just happening to get lucky refreshing rivianroamer at the right time. Hopefully the posts by meshguy help some other forum members to do the same.

Looks like January is the worst month yet for incentives, unless of course you’re one of the few looking for a Dual Max Performance. They improved the financing offer from last month, went from 2.99% APR to 1.99% APR.

There is still the $1500 Stealth Package offer.

The loyalty offer is gone and there are no other discounts available other than the EV credit which is likely not long for this world.
