Does that mean it is being redesigned to avoid blocking outlets? Or that you are working on a partial width tray? Or?? I was ready to do the purchase but now I'm concerned about access to the outlets.
Sorry for any misunderstanding. It won't block the use of outlets. You can feel confident in making your purchase, as access to the outlets will not be an issue. If you have any further questions or concerns, please let me know!

Is it possible to make a half length tray?
I'd like to install this tray but I occasionally need the 12V plug at the left side of the tunnel so having the full length tray looks like would have the 12V plug blocked.
Hey, it will not affect the use of the 12V plug on the left side of the tunnel, access the plug without any issues.

Does that mean you can no longer use the outlet once the slide is installed?
Hi, you can still use the outlet normally once the slide is installed.

Hello EV Base,

I received my slide today and got it installed but ran into some problems. Let me first note the packaging was excellent and it arrived in perfect condition.

When installed the slide does not clear the gear tunnel door.

If you force it the slide can come out further but it will eventually hit the door latch which it cannot clear. This will likely require a new mounting bracket as it needs to be at least 1/2 inch taller than it currently is to clear the latch.

The second issue is the handle. The silver pull handle prevents the gear tunnel door from closing.

Thank you for your feedback, and I sincerely apologize for the issues you've encountered with your slide. Regarding your first question, to push the slide back, you need to simultaneously press down on both buttons. After pushing it back a short distance, press the button again, and can able to continue pushing it forward. For your second question, could you please let us know the year of your vehicle? It might be helpful to remove the silver handle to see if that resolves the issue.

Thank you for your understanding, and we’re here to help you further!

The latches don't do anything when the slide is already locked in place. The draw slides themselves click into the locked position automatically when you slide them closed. The latches are only required to unlock the tray to slide it out.

Do you have any other options for making it fit?

So the bolts for the gear tunnel door can get adjusted downward so the door doesn't sit as high up when opened. Unfortunately this can increase the amount of gap above the door when closed, and potentially compromise the waterproof-ness of the seal. The door can be slightly adjusted independent from the bracket here though.

This variability in height is why some of the manufacturers opted to lose some space under the sled, so customers wouldn't have issues.

Sometimes the gear tunnel doors don't open as far as they should too.

I was aware of some of the variability in the height of the door openings. The hard stop for the gear tunnel doors appears to be cast without any machining so there will be variability in the surface finish.

I was able to do some more precise measuring today and the mounting bracket is about 15mm too short. Moving the door panel on the hinge a few mm won't buy me that kind of space.

Here is a photo of the hard stop for my gear tunnel door. I don't know how the cast member is mounted to the chassis and its level of precision but I don't see any obvious restrictions on the doors ability to fully open here.

Check out @EV Sportline 's video on adjusting for their product. The shim section might not work for the evbase one, no idea. Other stuff should be relevant.

I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We are currently synchronizing the production of several thicknesses of spacers, including the 15mm thickness you mentioned, to address the issue. I appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this.

Our design is unique and different than EVBASE - none of our videos or shims will work based on their design.

My EVBase gear tunnel slide installed easily with just one person. Arrived assembled and well packaged. Fit perfectly in the tunnel with good clearance in all directions except the handle wouldn't allow the door to close. I found a hinged handle that looks almost identical and the holes were just 1/10 inch wider. An easy minimal widening of the handle holes with a drill bit allowed it to mount solidly. It folds down and the door closes fine now. Also I was able to make cuts in the rivians plastic end pieces that had to be removed for the slide mounts. They slip right in under the mounts (then tighten the bolts) and they cover the ends with some trimming of the cut slots.
So the 2 issues I had to deal with were the handle and the plastic Rivian ends.

Hi friend
Now we have improved the handle problem by replacing it with a flexible handle, will not block the door ,we're also deal with some details to draw out more smoothly。
