Good to know. My thought was that internally, there's insulation and no wind. I wondered if the power draw would actually be higher outside where it's much colder and no way to retain the heat.

Thanks!

As compared to 'just' running the climate control and seat heaters? Effectively not at all.

I put it on my kona. But haven’t had any snow to test it yet. 🤷‍♂️

I'm going to throw in an electric heat gun and an extension cord for my travel kit.
Thank you for this post. I noticd my lights were iced over, but it was daytime, so no problem. Driving at night from PA to VT to ski, we should encounter lots of shush to ice as temp from Albant to Killington drops 20 degrees or more. I would think Rivian would have fully tested for this in their cold weather studies. Hoping we will be okay

Daytime so wasn't a problem but.... I imagine the relatively warm temperature contributed to this but I wasn't expecting it to be this bad.

I tried F11. It seemed to help for 1 trip to work (70 Miles) in warm (30 degree F) wet snow. the trip home was not so good.

In the same boat here. Just drove over Mount Hood in 32 degree wet snow weather… light output was significantly reduced after just 10 minutes of driving.

The lights have PPF that is ceramic coated, but those don’t seem to do much in these conditions.
