CT vs MY are so different there's no way they can be mentioned in the same sentence. Who cares about Elon and his CT? Why Tesla has become so successful and the market leader - we all know the reason. Lost market share is meaningless as more EV choices become available. The question is not how many it will sell (MY) but how good it will be. Let's enjoy these refreshes for what they are.
I agree, although I was speaking generally towards the overall success of the models Tesla sells. I'm sure Tesla predicted decreasing market share but I believe they didn't expect it to drop as quickly as it has. The CT was the first new model they have released in a long time and while it's failure won't mean they go under, it did come at a time when they could have used another hit product. I have no doubt the refreshed MY will sell very well.

Style is overrated when your refreshes doesn't charge as good, or audio doesn't sound as good as the outgoing model. The range is way overrated as well...
Mine charges fine, and the audio isn't quite as good as the Meridian, but the Meridian was hands down the best audio I've ever had in a vehicle. So it's still good. It's leaps and bounds better than the premium audio in my wife's i4M50. That's a smaller vehicle, so it's even easier to make it great, but it sucks compared to my trimax.

It charges fine to 80% then it's not. The audio, we've discussed it in multiple threads already. It just sucks IMO. If you're happy with it, đź‘Ť!

All I want is those lights not to blind the incoming traffic. 80% of cars blinding me are Tesla's, the cheap ones. S and X are fine.

Model Y, R1S on order
In the U.S., at least, the RAV4, Silverado and F-Series outsell the Y, depending on how you count. Possibly also the CR-V.

Worldwide, I expect the Corolla to outsell the Y for 2024.

To me, the Y looks like a slippery wet dinosaur turd, but to each their own.
Fake news. The Y is literally the best selling car world wide my man.

Not wrong, but without context of total production capacity. Tesla has how many gigafactories in how many continents? each with "several to a dozen" lines, according to Google Gemini.

Rivian has just two assembly lines in ONE factory for the R1. Watermelon to peanut watermelon seed. The fact they are trying to reach net positive (however slight) this soon after start of deliveries cannot be discounted.

Looks like a Prius’ ugly sister; a polished turd, if you will.

I get it that looks are subjective, but I find it hilarious that there are several company’s hopping on the light bar band wagon right now(and don’t get me wrong, i love Rivians light bar). To me it just seems like lazy designing and for me, I want refreshes(mid-cycle or not) to move the bar both under the hood, as well as the looks. Seeing all these designers just stick with the current trends is just boring. Make the lights more squinty ✅ stick a light bar on the front ✅

And to everyone offended by my “Hot” take, it’s all just fun and games!

I’m sure that I’m aging myself, but I’d LOVE to see a car company (I’m looking at you RJ) bring back hidden headlights. Those were sooooo cool in the 60’s and early 70’s.

The posts are erroneous.
https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/view-interior-photos-facelifted-2025-153228617.html

“Changes to the interior look to follow those found on the refreshed Model 3 sedan, with a new steering wheel, push-button turn signals, and a rear-seat display for the back seat passengers.”

🤗

https://www.motor1.com/features/716773/best-selling-cars-2024/

“Tesla doesn’t officially break out sales for the US, but estimates place the Model Y securely in the fourth position. The electric crossover was the world’s best-selling vehicle in 2023, and though Tesla’s overall global sales declined slightly through 2024, it’s expected to retain that position at the top. Largely unchanged since its launch in 2019, a refreshed Model Y should debut later this year.”

https://www.focus2move.com/world-car-market/

“Looking at cumulative data up to November 2024, the Toyota Corolla became the market leader in 2024, with 1,004 million sales (-1.3%).

The Tesla Model Y followed in 2nd, with 973,463 new sales (-4.2%).”

Those went away due to pedestrian safety regulations. Well, pop-ups did. They could still do hidden headlights like my first car had them. A 1969 Buick Riviera with the headlight covers that were all inset in the grille.

I'm just here to let the OP know they made a mistake in the thread title.

It should read Cyberyuck™ not Cybertruck.

Carry on...
