Next to a model Y for comparison. It was getting dark so I did the best I could to get a comparison. They are smaller than I thought.

Those stainless body panels look like complete garbage. I just don't get it.

I don't either. They have a yoke for a steering wheel. Back seat seems small. No door handles. Weird.

My prediction is that Tesla will sell a ton for the first year or two, and then the used market will become flooded with Cybertrucks once the novelty wears off and people live with them everyday.

How are those panels going to possibly hold up over time? They look horrible. Granted, we don't know what has happened to them to this point but you're going to see every fingerprint, dent, imperfection, etc.

I can only imagine that some type of coating(s) will be put on them to help reduce this. The other thing that came to mind is that I live in Texas where it was 110 degrees today. What is that going to be like if you touch the body at all?

I appreciate going outside the box, but the execution is going to be interesting. Perhaps they will just sell wraps?

They will sell a couple thousand and then that's it. Only a couple thousand will put up with the novelty. Maybe the drivetrain will get reused on an actual good looking truck.

This will be one of the easiest vehicles to wrap. Then you can have whatever color you want. It might not be the most attractive truck, but for the coasts, it will be a great performer as far as corrosion goes. I buy vehicles for performance and function first. I am looking forward to getting it and comparing it to my R1T.

Have to wonder how long before an owner comes back to their Cybertruck with someone having gotten too close to it while walking around it and cut themselves open on those sharp corners.

If you thought the gear tunnel doors were bad...

Remember this was originally designed to be a work truck tough and basically immune to job site type damage with heavy tow capacity and lockable tool storage. Might work well for what it was designed for and there are a lot of pickups used exclusively for work out there.
