Very happy to use the LOADD Sheet today to move a storage bench my wife built over to our camp. Didn’t move an inch, even on the messy gravel camp road.

The tailgate on the truck really makes the bed useful for stuff like this.

So many people are unaware that it's rated for 1k pounds.
Count me as one of them! My Rivian guide at delivery told me the tailgate on my R1S was rated for 300lbs. That is a huge discrepancy. Maybe they're really two different things?

I’m pretty sure the R1S tailgate has a very different design from the gooseneck on the T. Does anyone have official numbers? I know the payload capacity is weirdly slightly higher for my standard gen2 over other models, even with reduced towing capacity on the standard and large batteries now.

Pretty sure the SUV is rated for 500. It's basically rated for "sitting on" and not for carrying things. Having the tail open on an SUV can be dangerous because it can suck in the exhaust fumes from your own vehicle.

Basic google search turns up 500lbs as well. I don't know why the guide told me 300lbs but looks like he was mistaken.
