Transfer tag from car to R1T

Did anyone have issues transferring their tag from a car to the R1T? Delivery guys said you can't but I'm fairly certain I've done that before without issue.

I went thru the same thing with my guide. I had a ridgeline. The CT registration shows it as a passenger car. That's why i was told i'd get new plates and lose my vanity ones....

I'm going to follow up with the dmv I guess.

I've definitely transferred tags from a truck to a car and back. The only difference is my truck was 6000lbs, not 7000.

Rivian['s third party registration company] sucks at Florida registrations. I'm on day 91 with a new temp tag I had to get myself in WA state. I contacted my tax collector office in Pinellas county directly and got great assistance.
