Opinion time!
I have a 22 quad, white on ocean coast R1T, financed at about 6.3. Bought it used with 1500 miles on it to dive into Rivian from Tesla and try it out. At the moment, I have almost 10k miles on it, and its been great. Absolutely love it. That being said, I see the new $3,000 ICE incentive (show you own an ICE vehicle and get 3k off a shop R1T/R1S) as well as the $7,500 lease credit, along with a trade in about $2k more than I owe presently, and wonder if "upgrading" to a 2025 would be worth it. On paper, my payment would drop a few hundred as well. Id look at refinancing and buying out the lease in a year or so as well.
One thing holding me back a bit, is I live in a beach town in Rhode Island, and love to off-road in the soft sand. I'm sure the "all terrain" mode would handle it fine, but yea, still a thought. Small, but for my brain, its there. Other than that, the occasional trail, but nothing major is traveled.
Not sounding like a (insert your fave word here) but on the other hand, Im a mid-level content creator and influencer on IG and YT. Having "new" helps monetarily of course with views, etc. The newer, higher res cameras, as well as the Rivian Autonomy Platform+ would be beneficial.
What would you do? Stats on the "new" build below for reference.
R1T Dual
Dual-motor AWD Large battery
El Cap Granite paint
Bright Package
22" Sport Dark wheels
Utility Panel
Ocean Coast + Dark Ash Wood interior
Chilewich mats
Sound + Vision Package (Rivian Premium Audio & Dynamic Glass Roof)
Powered Tonneau Cover
