Still not working. I had discount tire check all the sensors and they said 1 of them had a low battery and was intermittent. I paid to have them change the sensor out. All 4 sensors are reading on a scanner. The sensor they installed is a 433mhz sensor that they have used on other rivians that they say have worked. We have driven almost a week and over 100 miles and the r1s will not sync these sensors. I did put my stock 21s on and they started reading within a few minutes. So the system is working. It really feels like they broke this in an update.

Picture of the 4 sensors working on an autel scanner with the 1 new sensor.

They only broke it for some people... mine included. Mine were ultimately fixed by connecting a Rivian Service computer directly to our vehicle and entering tpms sensors serial IDs manually. I'll be switching back to our 22 darks in a few days and I'm hoping I don't have a repeat of this issue.

This should be a warranty covered repair since theynare supposed to sync automatically, but I'm not 100% sure every Rivian tech can get this done. Mine was fixed by an Engineer in my driveway, with some guidance from the "tpms team" at Rivian.

I appreciate the response. It is not realistic to go to rivian or have them out for service twice a year for changing wheels. Really frustrating it used to work. My hope is someone from rivian like your neighbor or someone on this forum brings this up and they address it. Please tell your neighbor its still broken! If they cant make it work automatically give us a way to do it at home.

FWIW I had the same issue after putting on new tires (same TPMS) where one would not read. A full reset (not just infotainment) and 500 miles of driving and they finally fixed themselves. Does seem like a newly introduced bug because I’d had no issues in the past.

So interesting thing happened with my R1T with this process. I've got all four AT tires set to a different PSI. I didn't do this intentionally, but have been too lazy to fix it. On one of my drives, the passenger side tires were picked up on the wrong corners, front was back and back was front. It corrected on a later drive.

I've never noticed this occurring before, but also haven't run the tires like this before, so who knows how frequently it's normally flopping.

Thanks for the info! Agree this is a bug!

I’m having the same issue. I put my 20s on with new sensors and they never connected. I drove over 500 miles with them. Out of curiosity I put my 21s back on and they re-synced within a few miles. Put my 20s back on again and they won’t sync, it’s been over 100 miles this time. The system is working, it just doesn’t want to accept new sensors.

Ours is still not working as well. All 4 sensors are the correct frequency and verified working. They also used to work last winter. There is a theory that when they updated the system to always show the last values instead of showing nothing until it read is when they broke it. In the next update when we can change wheel sizes hopefully it will be fixed. Fingers crossed. Not going to a service center to sync tpms sensors.

I just put on new wheels on my 2023 R1S Quad software 2024.43.01. I replaced with new TPMS sensors from Atomic Wheels and everything was synced and working within like 5 minutes/3 miles.

any more insights/experiences from others? I will be swapping my 22 wheels from my Gen2 R1T with a Gen2 R1S that is running 22 Range wheels this weekend. Fingers crossed the two vehicles will recognize their new wheels (with new TPMS to them).

Which sensors did you use? What color were they? The black that look like traditional valve stems or the silver shorter ones?

I'd say you are 50/50 on this one.

Thanks. Those seem to be the most reliable ones to connect. Can you take a photo with how they look with the wheel?
