Also looks like bad timing…. Tariffs? This was in the mid 400s (434~) in March. Now it’s 517 each, pre install/taxes etc. 2680 after install/road hazard/taxes/military discount etc.

Thought I read somewhere these tires are made in the US (GA)?

Check 1010tires.com. They have the LT 2765/65 listed at $404.79; SKU 357270. Discount Tire usually can price match.

Noise aside, do these ride smoother than the Pirellis? The later have a vibration/rough side, especially at low speeds.

Yes. I think the vibration is directly related to (causing?) the noise. On the Pirellis I found this most noticeable when coming to a stop and just starting off. With those Pirellis, I thought I was feeling every block of tread hit the pavement as the tire rotated.

I have almost 3,000 miles on the Toyos and they are still smooth. I hope someone with more miles has long-term impressions to share.

I fiinally got around to ordering my set from a local tire shop near me. Turns out the SL version are on national backorder from Toyo at the moment. My tire shop was dealing with Toyo directly and they could only get him two of SL's at the moment, with a 1 to 2 week lead time to get anymore. When I logged in Discount tires, they say at least online that I could have them in 2-3 days, but my Local shop is telling me they are full of BS, since they get them from the same place for non stocked tires. I'm in no hurry, since my camping trip isn't until July.. also, my Local shop beats Discount Tires in by a $150 mounted and balanced.

The ones on the Discount Tire site are the LT version which are more expensive. I bought my SLs from Tirerack.com and had them shipped to DT for installation.

I just checked tirerack and they show 1 tire in stock for the SL, with a note that the manufacture has no estimated delivery date on more tires. Shipped to me they are $1705 from tirerack unmounted. My local shop sold them to me for $1675 out the door with mounting and balancing included. Hopefully they get all four in a week or two.

Back in February, mine were $1603 including tax, shipped to DT. DT charged another $115 for installation. If I recall correctly, there was an $80 instant rebate on them at the time. Looks like you got a good deal. I think you'll be happy with them. I know I am.

Had my Toyo OC AT III ev SL version installed for 1500 miles now and they are great so far. Averaging 2.23 miles per kWh and still rising. Mostly driving in Texas weather in very nice temperatures. Drive in all purpose mode 99% of the time. I averaged 2.17 with the stock Pirellis.

Hit some trails today and did pretty good in level 1 and 2 at Northwest OHV.

Anyone have more experience on off road trails? If so what can these be safely aired down to?

I am going from stock 21"'s and I ordered my Toyo OC AT III ev SL thursday with msw 52's from tirerack. They said everything was in stock, but just checked my order and it states the Toyo's are on back order. Any update on when they may be in stock at Toyo?

I am kind of annoyed that tirerack did not contact me to let me know my tires were on back order.

My local tireshop was told by Toyo directly that it would be 2 weeks before they could ship any of those tires out. I'm in the same boat, so hopefully we both get our tires soon.

I am getting a set of 4 Toyo AT III EV SL 116H installed today and will report back with some efficiency and handling/grip reviews. I chose this because of the 116H rating / AT tires / Price.

I had to work with an associate at Discount Tire after ordering the tires to get them from a different store and have them shipped via Fedex next day at no charge. These SL tires are in low stock compared to the LT version

The 1-5 days shipping time was accurate for me. I did call my local store to make sure they can order it or get it from another warehouse / store.

Here is the initial pictures from the install.

Just driving 4 miles I got 1.92 mi per kWh. I would expect this to go up once I’ve driven 20+ miles instead of short trips.

I’ll drive more tonight and report back with proper efficiency numbers and once i get all tires to 50 lbs hot.

I look forward to your thoughts on lateral grip compared to the OEM ATs.

I look forward to your thoughts on lateral grip compared to the OEM ATs.

Initial thought to me is the original Pirelli AT+ gripped better when making a fast turn.

Toyo does a good job holding on to twisty roads and initial grip from launch like Pirelli did.

I will put more miles on it this week and report back more on handling / grip.

Range for the AT III EV SL 116H is very similar to what I was getting with stock Pirelli Scorpion AT+ 116H.

1.80 - 1.9 mi/kWh on Highway at 73 mph and 2.25 - 2.45 mi/kWh around city at 40 mph.
