I’ll be very curious to hear how your efficiency goes… I just got the Defender Platinums, and not loving the efficiency hit.

Same definitely interested in your long term efficiency! I got the ko3’s in June and love them for some of the rocky trails out here in socal (why I wanted the E load rating)…but god help me with the efficiency hit, even at 60psi…

If these keep you above 2.0 mi/kwh I’m definitely going to consider these when my tires run out!

I’m calling Discount about these today. I got a set of Nitto LT Ridge Grapplers on Saturday and they are loud and drive like I’m on balloons, regardless of PSI.

Me too - a 10% efficiency gain would be great and would, in theory, extend my max range from 273 to exactly 300. I'm hoping the SL version becomes available in the next 2-3 months because I'm guessing it will be even more efficient (or at least no less) and I really don't need the ability to go off road.

yeah that doesn't surprise me at all with those. They're known for being loud, and have by design historically not focused on on-road characteristics. They have a newer tire coming out that should improve in that area quite a bit.

Any reason you aren't looking for an all-season then? Just style?
You got it - my wife loves the look of the AT-style tire. Her brother worked at Rivian as a brand director and asked one of the product development guys which wheels we should order and got a "20" Dark - No Question" response so that's what we ordered. So - my ideal tire would be an all-season that has the AT look. I suspect the Toyo EV 116H will be as close as we get.

The top three on my list right now (for consideration and not in order):
Toyo OC AT3 EV (SL)
Nitto Terra Grappler G3 (SL)
Firestone Destination XT (white lettering but I don't mind, available in LT only, probably least efficient of the three).

I'm guessing the Toyo and Nittos in SL config are both coming in December?

Any thoughts on the Bridgestone Dueller?

Grab the michelin defenders that people rave about. They're an aggressive looking all season.

Or the Goodyear Wranglers that come with the 20s on the Gen2 standard pack. There is a goodyear rep on the forum who is active.

Got the Toyo Open Country A/T III EV LT on order at Discount Tire. Boy are they pricey in the OEM size. Will report back impressions whenever I get some miles on them.

From what I've seen by Googling "Toyo 357200" the price on the SL's is around $390 per tire - a little less than the LT version.

The Michelin Defender Platinum doesn't have the look my wife wants. It was originally at the top of my list (not in part because I could get them at Costco), but when I showed my wife she said they looked like any other tire. She wants TIRES that say "I can go anywhere."

We'll see - I have another 2-3 months before I need to look and there seem to be new options coming out all of the time. I appreciate everyone posting about their choices and experiences.

Non-LT variants won't be available til some time in early Dec is what everyone is telling me as well as toyo themselves. Discount tire doesn't list them but they can get them (the LT275/65/20 p/n: 357270). I just had my local discount tire in weston, FL order them for me coming from other discount tires in Texas or Tennessee (they aren't in their system so they had to call corporate to find them and create a p/n). Also pay close attention as the 355XXX p/n are none EV varinats, the 357XXX seem to be the EV variants.
