Touch Up Paint for Tonneau Cover Exterior?

Was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for something to touch up paint that is flaking off from the powered toneau cover. I had mine replaced recently with the updated version - and it appears they replaced the actual slats as well. Anyhow, I have an area where two of the slats overlap and some of the paint / powdercoat has started to come off. I tried some automotive touchup paint, but it would not stick to whatever bare material is under the powder. Was hoping someone had a suggestion for something they used.
