yah same issue I had about how flush the corners sit, but can't complain it works as designed
Unfortunately. Each truck is a little different. Double check that the OEM wires didn't sneak up behind the base. Most of the time that's the reason it lifts in the corners.

Also the electrical tape trick is interesting... Have to take a look.

I wonder... if the mat is a little bit more oversized, to add a tapered (thickness) lip all around. That might make the mat lay and look flush against the factory wood trim.

Maybe something to look at with another mold, but the molds are extremely expensive. We can't do modifications as quickly as we used to as usually it entails several thousand dollars now.

I do have a long term solution to this. But it's about 4-5 weeks away.

It's going to be interesting to see how my hack holds up over time, especially as we get into summertime heat.

I can modify the base. (I 3d print those and easier to modify) For those people's trucks like yours (I'm going to bet earlier first year vins) have this issue. Rivian changed the molds on later gen1's

I'll move up the corner tabs and you guys should be good. Give me a week. You guys can reach out and I'll send you a new base.

Mine was built on 5/30/2023. I tried to press down on that corner but there was no give at all. And you can see in my photo how the mat sits at the front left corner. I can post pictures without the mat if that helps you any?

I'm aware.(thank you though) I'm currently fighting this with another mold. Some vehicles are flush some are not. It's really the crazy variances that rivian has in the wood trim. It's one of the reasons the OEM mat looks horrible on some cars and better on others.

The lip 1 mm lift is kinda the "solution" to solve most vehicles. (Meaning it's an after effect for some vehicles but fine for others) But I don't mind making other bases to meet the needs of specific vehicles. We stand by our stuff no matter what.

There's actually a decent amount of play on those corners so we can bring everything into spec. Give me a week or so. Should be a quick fix for you guys.

are you referring to the ones that don't sit plus on the corners?

Just got and installed mine. The fit and finish are fabulous and such a noticable improvement over the older version. (I had the raw 3d printed pre-flocking version). Like others mine sits about a quarter inch high at the drivers front corner and it doesn’t really engage the catch in that area. I have the older, larger step down charger with the usb-c to usb-a adapters which makes it harder to get all the wires tucked in but I’ve taped everything down and I’m pretty sure they’re not in the way. I’ll try the electrical tape trick to see if I can get more friction with the front catches.

If it's more than a mm double check that a wire didn't sneak in behind the base.
