Man. I'm so excited guys. I hope you love it.
It’s real, and it’s spectacular!!

installed mine last night. Super happy - it looks great. I decided to use the Anker pucks this time around and one thing that surprised me; the magnets don’t “feel” as strong as the Apple pucks but it definitely holds the phone in place and does a great job charging. I should’ve expected that; I’m a big fan of All Things Anker.

Truly feel like my R1S is finally “settled” now. All is right with the world. Thank you!

I get the opposite feeling... What phone? Just curious if the magnets are different.

It’s iPhone 16 Pro. My older MagSafe pucks have strong magnets that “snap” the phone into place. These seem less strong - I can move the phone around without much force (just overcoming the silicone) but it charges just fine.

Going to try a different phone case (or, buck naked!) and see if it feels any different.

Should feel snappy then. On my anker they lock in very strong. Using a carved case.

heh! Mine is similar - I’ll play with it today. No issue whatsoever stating in place, it just doesn’t “snap”. Maybe I have to adjust the pucks a little higher on the mount. We’ll see!

Make sure you pop it in from the outside like the video. That makes sure it's flush.

Give it some time to heat cycle. Everything is wrapped up tightly when delivered to us. It will lay flat after a few days.

Otherwise try the 3M 300LSE.

I have an upgrade order placed (hopefully shipping soon), but the biggest question I have is how do you remove the prior version? I have the one with the carved topo wood and felted granola bowl.

Just remove it like I show on the install video for the topocharge. (Credit card along the front edge). Also when removing the old pucks from the veneer be gentle as the pucks will want to stay stuck to the veneer. Try to break the veneer over breaking the pucks.

I didn't think about the veneer, been a while since I installed it. Warming it up a little with sun or hair dryer should soften the adhesive to make separation easier.

Looking at this image again... double check the OEM wiring didn't slide in behind the base.

Yup. I say in the installation video you may get one thats hard wired. Thats a hard wired one. Its fine. Just connect it to the R1 and you are good.
