I've been reading a lot about scratches on tonneau cover and jamming due to small particles or dirt/rock rolling in with it during operation.

Has anyone tried installing long nylon brush across? Any aftermarket brush items specific for rivian available?

What surprises me is there isn't a brush running the sides of the covers track to at least prevent debris from entering channel.

wow, I wasn't even thinking about that part but great point. That too sounds very important.

yeah I've seen systems like this one or even old window channels that have those little micro brushes in the tracks. That would have been smart.

Yea, I'm thinking even something like this (looks like it's for garage doors) would help tremendously if I can figure out a way to mount it, trimmed and all tucked away neatly.

Hopefully this makes it into the alleged future revision. I can't see how dirt and debris doesn't destroy the current design over time.

Is the air compressor strong enough to attach a little air gun to for dusting?

Some have tried…. It’s really an inflator, not an air compressor. It has no storage tank, and does not produce enough volume to effectively use a blow gun attachment.

I use a big California Car Duster on mine every few days to dust it off.

Just like the ones that you never have to wash and can use to dust off the paint on your car. I had a really big one from years ago. Never used it because it was too big. Glad a I kept it as it now turns out to be pretty handy. Picks up dust rather than just spreading it around. And leaves or needles I can get to one end and pick them off.
