My wife’s gonna forget to retract that flashlight and slam the door. Might have to remove it….

Concise, yet obnoxious. How is that even possible?

But begs the question of why we haven't seen that detail. Another example of why most of us will benefit greatly from the first 500-1000 owners.

And yes by owner I mean those who did not get (a well deserved) 30% discount and whose job depends on the success of the company.

There is one more thing I'd add to that review. The R1T is fast

I’ve seen it before and it’s one of the bigger features I like since I already have a roof top tent. I think I read that the rails are rated for 250lbs dynamic loading, which is very important when off roading. My RTT is too big to put it up on the bed, but it’ll fit perfectly upon the roof.

Interesting you mention that. The lady behind me in line at the Venice event today mentioned to one of the Rivian staff that she's interested in purchasing _two_ of the tent kits (one on the bed, other on top of the cabin) and the Rivian staff was legitimately _shocked_ that someone might want to do this. he said the vehicle is definitely strong enough to do it but he wasn't sure "why."

just more room for more people.

I’ve got an iKamper RTT. It will stick out past the bed but at least 1.5ft. So, roof mounting would just work better.

? This made me wonder about the roof racks, I noticed that when the poster displayed how to unlatch them, I noticed a keyhole-like feature and then it dawned on me: "Are these lockable or is that just the rest spot for the latch to rest on?".

They're the Yakima locks.

Ymmv, but I have found the Yakima sks locks to be pretty terrible.
