Wouldn't that give someone access to your vehicle should you ever lose your phone? Just a thought.
That is an excellent point.
Also I figured out if you put it on the swipe right screen you can access it as soon as it recognizes your face id.

I wish the pictures on the buttons were a little bigger 😵💫
I totally agree on that one. I like to resize my widgets to be functional and proportional to my screen.

I thought I would like this, but I really don't. Too great a possibility I'll accidentally hit a button as I put my phone in my pocket and remotely open something on my truck.

I'll stick with opening the app when I need it.
Same for me. I wish it had a confirmation before processing but it's damn near instant when you tap the button. I'll stick to app or keyfob or buttons on the truck
Had it in my phone for 30 minutes. Could not think of any reason I would want it. Removed.
I'm in this same camp... at first, I thought this would be really helpful, but I almost never need to manually perform any of these functions from outside the truck - and when I do, the shortcut isn't much value. I can imagine this is useful if you're a daily user of manual Rivian commands - and commend Rivian for continuing to develop the technology communication features of our vehicles!

I mean with PAAK they don’t have to unlock the phone to get in the car and drive away, widget or not.

I have actually been using the widget for a couple days... At home and at work. Since I have the HOME set for both, it makes it so I dont have to wait for the app to open, just hit the unlock button.

But since I use the FOB, its still up in the air if I will keep it on my phone.

Did you see this on the add widget option from the customize button on the lock screen? I am not seeing Rivian on that drop down list to select.

Does this widget actually work, or is it like the Tesla widget that looks nearly identical to this. Hitting any button on it opens the Tesla app, so I find it pointless and annoying.

Wow, I knew there was mention of a widget for Apple before, but your post inspired me to check on Android again. Lo and behold...

Buttons are fully functional from the widget. To launch the app you can touch the range or truck image.

In fact, while you are driving, you can hit the vent windows....and the windows will vent! I did email Rivian about this, as it seems like a very bad situation for when my wife is driving the car and say watch this and vent the windows while she is on the interstate :p

Yes, the widget directly controls the vehicle. Hit the widget, and it runs immediately.

So can the widget only show miles? No way to change it to %? If if my app is in % the widget still shows miles.

Go into the app, press on the % to switch it to miles. And it switchs in the widget...
