The ride quality even with the new update is still much more firm than most full size SUVs, so they aren't wrong to complain about it as I think most people coming from conventional cars will find it too stiff. I still tell my friends who are thinking about buying one that the suspension just isn't for everybody.
That being said, I live down a dirt road with a lot of pot holes, and my Gen 1 R1S is incredibly smooth at any speed on that surface.
I also found it interesting that most reviewers ding Rivian for not having Carplay or Android Auto, yet nobody seems to complain much about Tesla not offering those either.
