I see a lot of potential in Rivian's new reliability scores.
Getting EV's to a broader mass market requires a better charging experience that doesn't require multiple apps and checking reliability. You should just plug a destination into your nav and it takes you there with zero charging drama.
Charger reliability scores obviously don't solve the problem, but they take it a step in the right direction. What else would you see as useful for this development path? I'll start:
1. Pedestal level context for low scores. For example: Pedestal #3 sometimes charges at a speed lower than it's rated for. Pedestal #4 is broken.
2. Some level of aggregated data sharing with other EV makers and navigation providers. A larger data set means better information received quicker. It also gives more incentives for charger operators to fix their gear if more navigation providers are guiding people away from their chargers.
3. With enough aggregate data sharing, expected charger congestion and wait times could be factored into routing decisions.
