Keep in mind these are not range estimates, but the results of standardized tests.
Granted, a manufacturer can "design to the test" to a certain degree, but if the tests do not properly reflect the real world results, the test needs to be scrutinized.
On some of their vehicles, Tesla has already lowered the EPA range from what they are allowed to publish.
