Sadly my financial situation has taken a hit recently and I'm considering whether I should buy a $70k vehicle. If anyone is interested in purchasing my order and having me change the email/phone number to theirs, feel free to DM me. I'm not looking to start a debate about whether people should be allowed to sell their pre-order, but taking delivery and then selling at a markup (and pocketing the 7500 tax credit) is my other option.

I was hoping it wouldn't come to this 😞

You should swing it and then sell it once it’s in your hands. You’ll 100% make money on it.

That’s a pretty late pre-order. Unless you hit the Rivian lottery (as some 2021 orders have) you are going to wait a while anyway. What’s your delivery window? The big July- September deliverypalooza?

Yes. But I'm locked at the lower price.

So you can sell your delivery slot for a few thousand or take possession of the truck and sell it for considerably more plus the tax rebate. Even if you get the truck later this year I think they are going to command a market price significantly more than just the difference in pre March 1st pricing because of the limited availability.

Unless someone is going to pony up $15-20k for a truck that may or may not even arrive late this year, you are better off keeping your reservation and getting the truck.
