Taillights blinking randomly while truck is locked and off

I came outside to see see my R1T tail lights randomly blinking every few seconds. Sometimes fast, sometimes after like a 40-50 seconds. Is this a bug? Anyone know what was happening?

I first thought maybe the security system was going off but its set to not record while at home. I also didn't see the yeti on the screen at all.

Truck was parked, locked, and I don't have proximity key enabled on my phone. Nor did I have any keys on me. It was doing this for several minutes. I left and I haven't seen it doing it since I got back home.

Just an FYI, geofencing Gear Guard dorked it up for me. It wouldn't record anywhere unless it was set to 'everywhere' . And I had to do a full vehicle reset to get it to start working again after reverting the setting to 'everywhere' .

Mine was set to everywhere and my Gear Guard stopped working, so it may not be the geofencing rather just some bug in the software. It was working for a couple days and not sure what changed. I can’t geofence to my home because the Rivian maps doesn’t understand my address.

I had left the keys in the house and went out and grabbed the the roof rail attachment spot and rocked the truck back and forth and gear guard wouldn’t turn on. I just turned it off for now and will try re-activating at some point. May need to try that reset that worked for you.

My truck lights turn on for about 1 minute at random intervals all night long. I just looked at my driveway cam and it happened probably 20 times last night. I don’t have gear guard enabled at all. No keys or phone near the truck. It just seems to be the lights as the truck remains locked.

I haven't heard anything from service. I sent them the video but silence since then. It is still doing it after the software update.

• Have PaaK Proximity Unlock Disabled
• Using Samsung / Android Phone
• Have Gear Guard Enabled
• Gear Guard review videos screens pops up everytime you put the truck in Drive or Reverse (says something like "Vehicle must be in Park to Review Videos")
• Have the Key FOB on you when you see the light issue

Ditto on everything except I have iPhone - it’s not set up as PaaK

I’m guessing it’s the fob and some software bug.
