When was the last time you almost hit a car because you didn't see the car in your blind spot?

Suma Performance mirrors are full convex mirrors reducing your car's blind spot and enhancing your driving experience and safety.

"Man! What an upgrade the Suma Performance mirrors... Not only are they the simplest mod to install, but they are easily the most useful and beneficial one to date. These mirrors are exactly what should have come OEM. They eliminate the terrible blind spot.... [it] has in between where the BLIS system and the OEM mirror loses sight of the car next to you. You can see the whole world with these mirrors!" Tyler K.

I'm honestly curious as to who is having this issue with their Rivians side mirrors?
I find the mirrors (especially when properly adjusted) to be more than adequate.

Further, Rivian's software roadmap includes 'blind spot' cameras. So, is this a solution trying to find a problem? Or are there individuals who are legitimately having near misses because of blind spot obstacles (even with properly adjusted mirrors)?

Discuss!

Are they "add-ons", or they replace the original glass? If they replace, how difficult is to do this? Can it be done by me, or do I need to go to the shop to do that?
What about that lane changing warning indicator build-in mirrors? Will it work after the mirror replacement?

This is mirror glass replacement which can be easily done by you. You don't need to go to a shop to do it.

Yes, you'll keep the lane changing warning indicator.

These mirrors are amazing. Definitely one of the best upgrades I’ve done.

SUMA does not have auto dimmer. BUT it's designed anti-glare coating that serves the same purpose with the auto dimmer to reduce glare.
At night from headlights? How does that impact daytime clarity/visibility?

Just like looking at a light blue or gray tinted mirror—no change in reflectivity, only slight change in color (which isn't important unless you are staring at the mirror extensively like a TV cop or spy on a stake-out and need to make accurate observations of color). In practical use, you only need enough information to know if there is an object/car in your blindspot, right? Tinting is older tech, before OEMs started using auto-dimming tech. Keep an eye for older cars and you'll see. TBH, as large as the R1's mirrors are, plus the cameras and sensors, I don't think you need this. But if you want to contribute to the global economy... by all means.

Regarding visibility and clarity during the daylight, it's better than OEM because we use optical glasses to make SUMA mirrors that provide superior clarity.

SUMA mirrors are coated with nano-gel technology. They are also convex, increasing your field of view to reduce blind spots.
