Look like some of the strip malls near Irvine HQ. And we had quite a bit of rain over the weekend. One very loud thunder that made me flinch and nearly fumble my beer.

Exactly. Things that can't be vertically integrated, like tires, need options for purchasing team to lower costs to lowest possible.

Would not be surprised at all if Rivian switches to Goodyear as part of their supplier re-work and cost-down efforts.

I'm also glad that I have the original 20" darks because it's the best looking wheel I've ever seen and I like it a lot more than this new one.

I am also wondering if they are moving away from 34.1" ATs, to 33". Seems like a more sensible choice, for sake of efficiency and without sacrificing off-pavement capability.

The tires are. Not the wheels. Wheels are made for Rivian by a OEM supplier (most likely one in China, like the current Rivian wheels and wheels for many other automakers).

I am such a sucker for 5-spokes. Hopefully these are a set option I can go with once my pirelli 21's are worn out in the next 8 months.
