It was supposed to be released by January 2025What does the "4 days left" reference?
Not sure you can correlate early 2025 with January, usually something more like first 1/3rd is considered early.![]()
The website now says "Early 2025" - so I'm assuming this is not coming in 4 days
... That's what I was saying. It's not going to be January hahaNot sure you can correlate early 2025 with January, usually something more like first 1/3rd is considered early.
Not sure that is lidar testing, it looks like the rig they use to map the roads.
It used to say January 2025 in marking copy, adding ‘expected’ in front as well as well as moving to ‘early 2025’ puts us firmly back to the norm of Rivian time - so ~September? Not sure you can correlate early 2025 with January, usually something more like first 1/3rd is considered early.

s00nI have a road trip planned for March. Maybe I'll get lucky, and this will be done by then.
That would make more sense if they are using a Gen 1 to capture (even though it may not matter in the context of an external LiDAR attachment, I can only assume they would be capturing with a Gen 2 if they were gathering something specific to the Gen 2).Not sure you can correlate early 2025 with January, usually something more like first 1/3rd is considered early.

Well, you could ask yourself a question.. "do I feel lucky?"I have a road trip planned for March. Maybe I'll get lucky, and this will be done by then.
Its a Gen1 body - and mostly gen1 lights etc. (is the center light bar missing or blacked out?) - its probably a gen 'frankenstein' under the body.I think you meant to say Gen 2 in your title?
Has manufacturer plates... That's what I was saying. It's not going to be January haha![]()
Agree - I'll bet they're doing mapping for the "hands free" or maybe "eyes free" system ...
Or maybe it's not a Rivian owned vehicle at all haha
It has a manufacturers plate. It is a Rivian vehicle. And it is probably mapping the road, not testing lidar with the idea of at some point adding lidar to the production line.Or maybe it's not a Rivian owned vehicle
