I tried sport mode the other day for the first time in a while with the low regen setting. It was freaking awesome and I could live with it in that setting every day. I really, really like the sport mode dynamics with reduced regen compared to the standard and high options. So nice to have the low setting nowadays.

I have not used sport mode in some time since owning my R1S Quad. I had some open road yesterday and launched it. I forgot what a beast this thing is! Holly Ship! Not only was the acceleration mind blowing but in sport mode this 7 thousand pound rocket ship holds its ground pretty well.

I will never do that again!😀
The same thing happened to me. It had been a while, but the car is so agile and home charging is cheap, I just leave it in Sport now. I do raise it from the lowest ride setting.

Over the weekend had an older couple up to our place in the Adirondacks. They love Teslas since I first showed them my Model S ten years ago, and arrived in their third, a Model Y. He was a little skeptical of the Rivian until I took them on a few miles of some pretty steep logging trails in the woods, then drove 50+ miles on two-lane highways winding along river valleys in sport mode. She was a bit white-knuckled during both, while his last words as they headed home were “love your car!”

That would be my spouse......I am only allowed about 50% throttle unless a warning is issued prior....
If I provide prior warning her “please no” just gets more stern. Forgiveness is easier than permission.

Ok,. I have owned my quad R1T for over a year now. I do live in lonely 2 lane toad, farm country. I guess I should try sport mode one of these days. (Will it compare to my days of launching off an aircraft carrier with an end speed of 170)?

I live in a very hilly area. Needs more power when launching uphill. Do I need an upgrade?

Awesome. But how did you manage to not use it yet, haha! I can go some time not using it but probably use it like 1x a week at least and sometimes just drive around in it. I love the throttle response.

Long road trips on an interstate i am 99% in conserve standard height. Otherwise all purpose. A fair bit of snow mode in winter.

I use sport, lowest, TC off every day :CWL:
I love it! Just smoked a brand new 992 the other day :D (probably a base one, non-turbo)
Hellcats don't stand a chance either
Locally the have a 60-160 race needless to say with a limit of ~113 mph R1S didn’t do well but the 0-90 everyone here’s knows that answer.

It makes it worse. Less control, more work.

I haven’t tried disabling stability control, but having it on low makes the launch even more violent and fun.
