I have had my Gen1 QM R1S since Feb-23, and have loved it. Last week Rivian made me an offer I just couldn't refuse, I jumped at it and replaced my Forrest Green Gen1 with this:
Tri-Motor Gen2 R1S, picked it up Tuesday. Amazing trade in value for my R1S, great rebates just perfect. A few noticeable things so far.
Absolutely love Rivian and have nothing but a great experience with the brand so far. Keep it adventurous my folks.

- Performance: 90 minute drive home on the Garden State Parkway and it feels slightly quicker than the QM. Not a problem at all
- Lightbar front/back: It is noticeable up close and from far away what has changed here. Really like the charging animation
- Interior: The new seat design is nice and feels just like the Gen1 but I do like the new plaid pattern.
- Infotainment: Seems slightly quicker but not enough time with it to make a judgement call
- Driver+: This is the major change. The new system seems to work better and the hands free is really interesting but I am not 100% comfortable with it, just tried it out a few times
- Door Handles: This will take getting used to but it is easier to open and close the doors. Definitely doesn't require as much force, which is good for my 88 year old father in law and wife
- Sound System: It does seem a little quieter but overall it is fine. I am not an audiophile and usually struggle to hear the differences others talk about (too many concerts when I was younger)
- Cameras: MAJOR UPGRADE (that says it all)
- Suspension: Also a major change here seems much smoother and managing the road better
- (edit) Phone charger: Holy cow it actually works.
