My babies: Pinarello Dyodo Gravel (2021) with hand built custom carbon fiber wheels with ~125 miles and my trusty Specialized Tricross Expert (2009) with about 10K+ miles (lots of tires and chains later...)

The Tricross has been my workhorse. Sections of the frame are triple butted aluminum and others (fork, crank, stays, seat post, etc.) carbon fiber - the thing is built like a tank but still flies like a bat out of hell!

Oh, I should have included this photo as well. We lost power for +52hrs last week. Powered this setup below (wahoo+fan) with the 120v plugs in the bed of the Rivian….because priorities (I also powered the gas furnace, gas w/h, and a full size fridge)

My L Trek Farley 9.8 and wife’s S Borealis last winter. This winter’s been a bust. We normally do a ride across 8 frozen lakes each winter.

(Not shown) his and hers Salsa Spearfish 27.5+ and wife has a Specialized Diverge gravel bike which she loves. Farley’s my gravel bike.

I built this Ellsworth Rogue 60 about 6 years go. It's basically an Enduro style setup (favors downhill, but still climbs fine) with 27.5 wheels, lots of travel and an 11 speed drive train. It's held up well over the years.

As a side note, I was the proud owner of one of the rarest bikes around - an Ibis bow-ti. I built it in 2000 and rode it for a few years, then stored it. Eventually I sold it to a museum. It was a very odd, beautifully strange design. Extremely light with a decent amount of suspension travel, but as MTB designs evolved, it became a bit dated from a performance standpoint.

The Ibis Bow-Ti was my dream bike back in the days!

I’m a cross country weenie…hardtail is generally my go to bike.
Specialized Epic HT S-works. Replaced the brain with the new race day damper.

I love the EVO Pro, but they don't make my size. Fellow XC weenie over here. Sweet bikes.

Nice. I’ve been thinking about trying one of these out. Also looking at a Pivot Shuttle SL. Like the idea of a lighter weight ebike for getting more miles in over my lunch hour.

Gravel /road machine is Cervelo Aspero. Love riding road on 700x40 tires, it's soo smooth. Photo in Michaux, PA. Love this thing. Even in the rain and mud.
Ahhh Aspero! I am currently on the lookout for one, I sold my original one and am jonesin' to get back in the saddle of one this year.

there have been plenty of 20-30 mile rides that I have done on my Yeti SB130 where I wished I had the kinematics of a hardtail....but then I hit a drop and realized having the extra travel is where it's at hahahahah

Enjoying this Trek Fuel Ex-e.

That's a sweet looking rig!

The Evo is awesome. The hardtail is technically the faster bike of the two at my local trails (skeggs for any of you Bay Area folks)…but the Evo is a lot more fun...especially if you venture to some of the more “alternative“ trails. Even with full XTR and lots of gold squishy bits the Evo is a solid 6lbs heavier than the hardtail.…But sometimes I just want to ride to enjoy myself and not have my HR pegged the whole time.

I've never seen one of these in person. Super interesting design.

A photo of my my Lynskey Cooper, more of an endurance bike but pretty competent on gravel. Sadly, no Rivian to hang it off yet, maybe this Fall . . .

Rivian R1T R1S Show us your Mountain/Gravel/Road Bike MTB - Rivian Style! Lynskey 6-resize

The frame is a 2015 model, bought directly from Lynskey in 2017 at a great price. In fact, I paid more for the Lynskey Ti seat post and rack than for the frame!

As far as the build, Lynskey pressed the headset bearing races in for me at no charge since I purchased Cane Creek 110 bearings from them. The groupset is Ultegra and the fork is a TRP carbon with internal routing. Before ordering any components, I got measured with the Retul fitting system at a local bike shop which allowed me to easily customize the build. The wheels are H+Son Hydras (TR) with Sapim triple-butted spokes and brass nipples purchased from a local wheel builder. I ran low on budget for the wheel build, so had to be content with Bitex hubs rather than the White Industries I wanted. Have been quite happy with the Bitex though.

Since building the Lynskey, it's done at least three RAGBRAI's - including the gravel loops - while my Ridley Damocles sits forlornly in the basement.

2020 YT Izzo Pro. Perfect bike for Florida trails. I'm using a Race Face tailgate pad for transport. I can never get it (never have the patience)= to really sit perfectly straight due to the curvature of the tailgate but it's a great pad.
