Honestly, I was thinking the same thing. It looks pretty cool.

How has the ridigity held up? Any issue with leakage? How often do you have to pump it up?

Does it have screen windows, so you can get airflow? Did you do anything to duct air from the Rivian?

Hi Timothy,

It's seriously cool! The Air Frame allows for a different structure compared to your usual RTTs, and that comes with some major advantages.

We sold a ton through the Kickstarter campaign and all last year without any leakage issues at all. The testing before launch was extensive, and with over 20 years of experience manufacturing RTTs, no corners were cut.

You only pump it up once per trip. Air pressure changes are minimal and won’t affect the structure. The air tubes are built to last and are closer in rigidity to a car tire than an air mattress.

There’s an access point on the side if you want to use AC, plus screened windows and vents throughout that can stay open even in bad weather, thanks to the eaves design.

Strange, tapping on the “Reserve for $99” button doesn’t do anything for me. I’m on an iPhone 15 pro and tried it in safari, chrome, arc and Firefox focus with the same results. On or off WiFi. I’ll try on my laptop tomorrow, but thought you’d want to know that you might be missing out on the key “doom scrolling on my phone impulse purchaser” demographic (it me!) ?

They're built to last a lifetime with proper care. Can I ask what specifically concerns you so I can address it?

The warranty is three years as standard, and they’re designed so that repairs can be made easily if needed.

The outer shell is canvas—just like those old scout tents you see that are still going strong after 50+ years. The frame is aluminum, and the Air Frame is made from a five-layer structure that’s extremely durable.

What’s more, if you ever do run into any issues, we’re a small team that prides itself on customer care. You’ll always be able to speak with someone who can actually help and take action.

Ha! I might have gotten a little carried away saying "easy," but it's definitely manageable thanks to the lightweight build and compact pack size.

Are you familiar with the tailgate method? Just flip it onto the tailgate, then onto the crossbars—it’s super straightforward. All you need is a sack trolley or something similar to move it from storage to your Rivian.

Just a vouch - love my Air Cruiser! I can also recommend the Wheel Every Weekend Rivian crossbar mounts to pair with this. Not cheap but some nice peace of mind. Happy camping folks!

@AirCruiser I assume you could use this as a regular tent and just lay it on the ground. Is that correct?

How does the bottom look? I would like to see how it attaches as I've ordered a topper and I would want to mount the RTT on it.

Are the instructions posted somewhere? I couldn't find them.

Lastly, any videos of taking it down? Often setup is faster than take down.
