Noticed the steering wheel losing its range of tilt up again and progressive it’s dipping to cover the screen. So decided today why not let’s calibrate the steering wheel and drivers seat since both need to be done to set a new memory position. Well, bad idea. The drivers seat calibration stopped halfway through and kept on saying “it’s our error, try again” but got stuck again. Now the drivers seat won’t move back the last three or four inches of travel. I’m 6’2 so it’s a very tight fit not being able to move the seat back further.
Tried the following:
1) soft reset
2) hard reset
3 vehicle sleep cycle
4) checked under seat, nothing blocking.
5) tried the passenger seat. Full range forwards and backwards.
6) called Rivian who suggested the above which I had already done
Any suggestions?
TLDR - I ended up dropping it off at Costa Mesa, and they fixed it in one day. Debris along the seat rail (a screw) - I asked where the screw came from, and they thought it was leftover from a prior service (my car has had a lot of things fixed). Happy they got to it quickly and fixed it. Costa Mesa is a very good service center right now.
