Scratched Caliper. Paint Color Code?

That said, I'm not surprised to hear that the color is different from Compass Yellow. Brake caliper paint is a lot different than paint on a vehicle body due to the conditions it has to withstand, namely heat. I'll still check out the color when my truck finally gets off the slowest train to ever travel from Illinois to Los Angeles.

Closest match I’ve found. It’s basically perfect. Testor Gloss Yellow found at Hobby Lobby. I’ve got a single light coat on the caliper right now. Will post finished results.

I have only done city, highway driving and my left front caliper has the color coming off. The other three are ok.

So, why is this happening? Suggestions appreciated.

Seeing as you have aero covers, is it possible this is caked-on brake dust and not chipping paint?

That was too simple. DOH!

It is odd to me, that only the front left wheel, caliper has so much.

No worries and thank you. Now, I anxiously wait for my new center caps from the shop

Did anyone ever find the color code for the brake caliper paint? I've used G2 paint in the past (Tesla red) and it worked great. They'll make me a custom yellow to match OEM Rivian brakes, but I need the paint code.
