They haven’t heard of the bollinger b1 I guess

last paragraph reads ”we saw a bunch of land rovers and some unused charging stations, so we decided to make a defender but ugly, and with as few improvements as possible other than electrification.“

The talk of right-to-repair and ease of maintenance is interesting.
I wonder if they're using widely available, off the shelf parts for the driveline, steering, and whatnot.

If I were going on say an African safari, that would be the one reason I'd still take a Land Cruiser or Wrangler over a Rivian (today)

This looks almost exactly like what Bollinger were trying to do.

I don't think it's street legal. Would be great toy for the ranch or farm.

Driveline looks like land rover. Definitely axles at least. 130” WB hints they’re probably just using Land Rover chassis, or modified version, and driveline.

I think the 90 was AUD. According to the google 50K pounds like 60K USD. So significantly cheaper than a Rivian.
Oops…my bad…thanks for the correction. And still WAY too much money for a bare bones, tractor switches, mediocre range electric truck. Half that would still be pushing it…IMHO…

To each their own…

Oh yeah for sure. I don't want one for 60 it would purely be an off-road toy for me and that's probably the 30's like you said for me as well. I spent less than that for my Harley and that's another limited use vehicle.
