Scheduled my R1T Power Tonneau Cover post delivery install

Contacted by Rivian today via text regarding calling to set up an appointment for installation of my R1T tonneau cover. They supplied a number to call. Was helped by an amazing customer service agent by the name of Summer. I now have my first available appointment to do so, which was August 1st. Only able to do so at my local service center (which is nearly 3 hours away), but mobile service installation was not an option per my discussion with the Rivian customer service coordinator. Hoping the new design is easy to install for the technicians and works for years to come. Have only been a customer of theirs' for a short time, coming from a Tesla Model Y previously, but I have to say I love my R1T and could not be happier with my lease. Hope the same goes for the bulk majority of the rest of you out there. Cheers.

Picked mine up May 6th. Was on my original build for $500, which is a steal, even checked with them about just taking a manual cover in its place, but that ended up being too complicated, worst part about it is the significant trip to and from the service center, but hopefully it will be worth it in the end.

NC. Closest service center is about 3 hours away in Richmond VA.

I think it will be worth it if you end up with a working cover. And I think it would make it more valuable if you are to sell. I have the manual and it’s fine but it would be nice to easily retract it.

My experience with mobile service in posts 39/40 at the link below. Mobile is possible, but maybe not all SCs are doing it. 2 hours was my experience with mobile and others have reported the same at SCs. No issues since the replacement was installed and I e probably open/closed it a dozen times and had a yard of dirt in the bed.

Took delivery of mine on 5/19/24 (4/2024 build date) and it had the cover already installed. It has worked fine so far. It is a little noisy but this type of cover, even aftermarket, is noisy because of the slat stacking.

When I purchased my truck, it was not offered in the store. I really need one and be willing to pay for the install. Has anyone had any luck connecting someone at Rivian to get one installed? If so please message me.

Supposedly the retrofit option for those of us that took delivery mid tonneau refresh is late summer, or at least that's what was said earlier this year

I just dropped mine off In Trenton NJ for replacement today. "Only" 90 minutes each way for me.

Picked up mine on 5/25 and scheduled a service appointment at the end of June to fix an interior trim piece. They originally told me it was a mobile service but they changed it to a drop off at the SC. I asked about doing the tonneau cover at the same time to save me a trip and they said they can get it done together.
