Thanks - yeah it seems like Rivian and Tesla might be only luxury cars that don’t partner with established speaker company like B&O, Bose, etc. I currently have 2021 Tesla Model 3 and sound system is bad.
The 2024 upgraded model 3 LR stereo is great. Not as clean as Meridian on original R1S but most people would like the additional bass for pop/rock music.

B&O in Fords and Bose in GM’s are complete trash. Changed them all out historically.

Rivian originally did with Meridian...and it is an excellent audio system. But apparently cost was ti high to justify for vehicles that get into 6 figures easily. Still wish they would put an audio system in them as good or better than the Meridian...and I feel it would appropriate for this price point...definitely should be included with the Ascend interior package...maybe optional for Adventure interior trims.

Love the Savagegeese. I was expecting worse, but their points are fair.

The electronic charge port, handles (and now on Gen2, e-latch), center arm rest, and vents are all unnecessary complications that don't really make the customers' life any better and hurt service centers.

I think them pointing out the EPA number being posted proudly on the dash isn't just a Rivian problem. Other manufacturers do this too. It's not that the R1 is inefficient in the real world, it's just that it's inefficient when compared to even itself in ideal government testing conditions. Body on frame, off road focused ICE vehicles are inefficient too. That's the wrapper they come in.

Yep, it's a first for Mark to do Rivian. Not sure if purposely, but they were very conservative about their description of how fast and buttoned down the SUV is. Oh wait, it's not a Porsche/VAG (yet) so let's not dethrone the Cayenne

If you noticed, no pucks at the lift points.....and it's a bendpak

They are fair reviewers from what I have seen of their work and this was a solid review. I wonder if more detail will come out since they had the vehicle for three weeks and spoke with engineers. I didn't expect to be at Porsche levels but even being compared to that is a positive.

Show me another car that can do 0-60 in 3sec, an 11sec quarter mile, complete the Rubicon stock and still seat 7. 😇

-Rich
Can it really complete the Rubicon Trail stock? The only owner (Rexbo) I am aware of who has attempted (not finished) has/had a well modified R1T and wound-up permanently deforming the side panels behind the cab from the twisting of the body.

Rubicon Trail: 1, Rexbo R1T: 0

These guys are always sort of passive aggressive towards EVs.
I used to watch these and stopped. The main reason was that they showed shots of suspension and a review of underbody. The bald one was parroting some BS and I can't remember what it was now.

There are other channels that review the underbody and I watch them now.

Obviously just a guess, but for the price of putting the door open button (and developing their own sound system) they could have kept Meridian system. Nobody will buy a vehicle because of the button, but plenty won't if they feel sound system stinks.

I am also in the 'why" camp on those door buttons. I strongly prefer the G1 manual releases....and would be much happier with a proper audio system for the price point of these vehicles.

Sarah tuned I think. I use Alex for comprehensive and Sarah for underbody reviews.

Munroe for Rivian of course. Only they do a physical teardown of the vehicles.
