It's not that difficult to install yourself. If you have a bit of help and the right tools.

Thanks Zorg. Did they cut the plastic panel or removed it completely? Is there any risk to exposed area due to exposure of water?

I got mine done at 4 wheel parts on san carlos in san jose. It was there first time doing a rivian so it took awhile but they did a great job. They cut the plastic panels for installation.

Installed myself in Scotts Valley. Cut the panels. Hardest part was finding large Torx bits for the larger fasteners (took a couple of auto parts store trips to find).

Yes that "tool" they provided is worthless.

I was able to take plastic pieces out but struggling to take the torx nut out so either not using right tool or need to find auto shop to get this done. Any suggestions?

You’ll need to get the correct sized torx bit and use a long handle rachet. I slipped a 3’ pipe over the ratchet handle to get torque.

I’ve installed my rock sliders (twice) at home.

If you have a breaker bar + torque wrench that are used for tire changes, these tools would be great to use. Be sure to use a 1/2 driver on the TP55 head.

I would recommend against using an impact wrench on these screws, as they can strip them easily

Had to use the large handle socket wrench with the T55 torx but (had to buy a whole damn set to get that one) to remove and then a impact drill to reinstall. No problems at all.
