Nice. thanks for the update. For some reason I thought I read on another thread that park / kneel mode not currently active. Is that true?
Yes it doesn’t seem to be active, according to people who have trucks.

. At first mile when we had a drive, there was only “lowest” which was fine(our minder for the test drive put it in lowest height when standard height was too tall).

I think some of the trucks they had on display were in kneel mode though.

I have not found "kneel" mode. I too would like to add the AMP steps. Please email them if you're interested so that they are aware there is interest from the Rivian crowd.

I’m really hopeful for aftermarket sliders… they’ve saved my butt on the trail a few times.

These Amps aren’t necessarily going to provide slider or parking ding protection, but they are tremendous for taller vehicle access and deploy/retract with door open/close. I replaced our fixed HD steps on a Sierra with them and they are great.

I imagine something like this could work with the door handles in the Rivian case(if doorhandles out then step down)

As someone who uses their sliders on my overland rig... it more of a question of utility. A vehicle as heavy as an R1* could do serious damage to itself if caught in a situation without sliders. Better to have it and not use them vs needing them and wishing you had.

That being said... don't expect to slide on a running board and don't expect to step on a slider.

Grain of salt from my experience
