All the products share the same paint/electrostatic line in the plant, just the sleds are going to be different.

That is probably the vent for air pressure to escape when doors are being shut. Too restrictive, people will complain about doors being hard to shut (as we've seen in these forums from certain individuals). Too free-flowing, it will sound hollow and cheap instead of the solid thump (which the Germans set the standard for way back).

Was going to reply the same as well. That's my inclination, but it does seem quite large; however, I'm not an expert in this area.
