What’s false is the belief that you cannot produce 99.9% defect free automobiles. Toyota was doing it for many years and taught the world how it is done but they have now placed profits ahead of quality. I still believe if you build the highest quality product you can charge almost anything you want ( within reason) as consumers want quality and are willing to pay for it
They placed profits ahead of climate. Toyota has been exposed as a sham.

Not sure that is true since hybrids are a very cost efficient and consumer friendly approach to reducing fuel usage significantly. The move to hybrids will reduce oil consumption significantly as we await BEVs to ramp up.

Not sure that is true since hybrids are a very cost efficient and consumer friendly approach to reducing fuel usage significantly. The move to hybrids will reduce oil consumption significantly as we await BEVs to ramp up.
I did 900 miles in 4 days with a rented Tesla Model Y. With the grid carbon per kWh it equated 3 gallons of gasoline.

300 mpg is about 6x better than a prius.

Toyota is one of the most aggressive Washington lobbyists against EVs and fuel economy standard in 2025. No thanks.

Good for you. Back in the real world with hundreds of millions of drivers a hybrid has a 40-50% reduction in emissions compared to a typical ICE vehicle. With no special charging infrastructure, no change in the drivers habits (except going to the gas stations less often) and a small increase in base price. BEV are the future but in the here and now hybrids are a vital part of transitioning to that future.

I prefer realistic and workable solution rather than railing against an alleged political agenda of a company that has done more than most in actually reducing emissions.

That's cool, but they're actively lobbying the government to reduce fuel economy standards. They won't have to now that Trump is in office, but that damage is done. Toyota has been actively deceiving the public with false information about resource scarcity issues that don't exist. They're now trying to brand hybrids as EVs.

They deserve to go under.
